The airline industry will release a COVID-19 passport for your iPhone next month
After successfully trialing it on an international flight between Singapore and London earlier this month, the IATA says it will release its Travel Pass app in mid-April. The software allows airline travelers to store verified COVID-19 test results and vaccination certificates on their phones. The trade association told Reuters it expects to make the app available to download on iPhone around April 15th, with an Android version to follow later. Abusive language doesn't bother me. I only shows the lack of intelligence of the speaker. It renders their comments irrelevant and useless.
Yes, but only independent free-thinkers see it as you do.
In my opinion, this is a tempest in a teapot. I have spent the last 35+ years flying millions of miles all over the world to serve the oil & gas industry. I always had my WHO “Yellow Book” with me listing all immunizations necessary for entry into a variety of countries. Without this yellow book, entry was not happening unless you wanted to roll up your sleeve in a very risky situation. I don’t see Covid vaccination being fundamentally different from Yellow Fever vaccination. Some may say this was paper & not a database but your information was certainly stored & later, digitized at every entry, I would really like to have this as an app or cloud based in case the yellow book is ever lost (again). There is a very simple solution for those who object to this requirement by airlines & other countrie. Don’t go there.
No, "free speech" is a prohibition on THE GOVERNMENT to prevent suppression of ideas the government doesn't like. Nothing to do with civility at all and in fact, uncivil discourse might be the most important protection of the Constitution. Try using abusive language about the leaders of a repressive regime and see what happens.
My point being, raising your voice with vitriol and slander does not advance an argument, or constructively promote a level-of-awareness to a differing view/opinion.
When the debate is lost slander becomes the tool of the losers.
When the debate is lost slander becomes the tool of the losers.
That’s been the norm for the previous four years!
Remember now, they all learned how to be civil from the TEL-A-LIE-VISION stupid tube! They tell you and everyone else HOW to think. Get it?
The design intent of free speech in America was to allow civil discussion of differing opinions not restricted by consensus, oversight permission, threat, and/or intimidation by others. Sadly, it seems civility is a dying, and/or already deceased, virtue in America.
