Nostalgia abounds. But as a passenger I always hated flying them. Good riddance, I say.

So sad... Not only is it the end of an era for the Mad Dogs, but I never got a chance to fly on ANY MD-80 variant. This literally makes me so upset I never got that opportunity :(
I don't know, there was always something reassuring about a salt & pepper haired driver in the front left seat, and a pair of salt & pepper haired JT-8D's out back. Good dog! <tosses a treat>
a great airliner for pilots, airline accountants and paying passengers for many years and millions of revenue miles. Hate to see good friends leave the party too soon.........
Only hope some go to schools to teach.. good job Mad Dog.. you will be missed..
