The LAST thing I want to hear from a professional pilot is to ask for prayers......TWICE! How about calming my butt down and letting your training do its job?

I don't usually fly 330's, but when I do and the engine's shaking violently, I usually shut it down...
I was thinking, why didn't they shut the left engine off when it was causing the plane to shake like that? I understand that the engine was still producing thrust, but the plane could have flown fine on just the right engine, and keeping the left engine on would have maintained the risk of a dangerous uncontained engine failure.
