Reckon the ILS was out and they had to do a visual?
Do I detect a note of sarcasm there preach. At any rate, I contend that it is better to run off the long end at 40, than to land short at 140.
touché`
Wow. great pun with 40 and 140 !
Just a simple description of energy to dissipate, as approximated by the velocity of the aircraft in each situation.
In lighter, but crude, vein, work done(power/energy) in both cases may be equal !
But results?
