GMAB....USAir still hasn't gotten their two pilot groups under a single contract yet. America West pilots and USAir pilots have different contracts/pay rates. The last thing they need to do is buy us (AA). I should have been a doctor......
I hate US airways. Does this mean every mainline US carrier will be star alliance except for Delta?
I look at all the proposed and finished mergers and cannot understand how they make business sense. The two biggest problems in aviation today are low ticket prices and the cost of fuel. Oil costs $4 a barrel to pull it out of the ground, and it sells for over $100. That places an unjustified burden on purchasers of fuel.
The amount collected per ticket is well below what it should cost. I bought a round trip ticket LAX - HKG for less than $900. I see from this Pan Am 1956 timetable the trip would have cost $1008.

I don't see how an AA - US combination would be good for employees, investors, passengers, or the public good. The only purpose of the AA bankruptcy is to let big players cheat the investors out of their capital.
The governments really need to get on the same page and encourage competition in the fuel and ticket prices. The current situation cannot continue.

Not much there. Nothing new.
Us Airways, that carrier is a joke.
Don't scare me. I am flying them in less than three weeks. Lol.
