This was the famous event where Tex Johnston rolled the prototype 707. When he got back on the ground, the President and CEO of Boeing said never never do that again. The companies fortune is riding on this plane.
The story goes on that when the Boeing CEO turned to his assistant after watching Tex to the barrel roll and told him to tell Tex to never do that again, the assistant replied: "OK but he just sold our airplane."
