US airports can opt-out of TSA
Did you know that the nation's airports are not required to have Transportation Security Administration screeners checking passengers at security checkpoints? If an airport authority opts out of TSA, does Janet Napolitano come and grope the airport president?
Wow, that's fascinating. It's easy to imagine a commercial airport in a competitive market or a dominant airline in a hub city motivated to displace the TSA in a bid to attract passengers.
It is interesting that the United States government (lower case "g") thinks profiling is a violation of rights, yet don't mind taking naked pictures of and/or groping citizens.
God we as a public love to bitch. Just stay home.
I've been told SFO does not have TSA Agents. They're actually contractors that wear the old white TSA type uniforms with "Contractor" on the uniform.
Remember: The underwear bomber and the 9/11 hijakers were all on the terror watch list.
Why just drive? We drive everywhere we go.
