New Orleans Entrepreneur Launches Air Carrier GLO
Beginning in November, New Orleans-based GLO, operated by Corporate Flight Management, Inc., will begin running daily, non-stop flights from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY). Round-trip air service will be provided to Little Rock’s Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport (LIT), Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Shreveport Regional Airport (SHV). Needed service, but will the public be willing to pay for it? To have any real future for GLO, it has to be operated at a profit from the outset. Promotional fares are fine for 30 days or so, but then they have to be increase to the point where they are well above break even to keep the airline viable.
The old adage of "How do you make a small fortune in the airline industry? Start with a large fortune" isn't that far off the mark. Hope he make it.

I guess he has done his homework but I just can't see that kind of market to New Orleans from MEM or LIT, SHV maybe. NWA abandoned some of that before they merged with DAL. Dallas area, either DAL or DFW and ATL are the big ones out of LIT.
And at the time NWA pulled out, they were hubbing at MEM.
If the public isn't willing to pay for it then it's not a needed service, is it?
