C-17s Infiltrate The Carolinas During Massive Airlift Exercise
Joint Base Charleston was put under pressure last week conducting an extraordinary exercise to evaluate their ability to deploy a large aircraft formation during a simulated crisis. And by large I mean very big airplanes in a very big formation. (planelopnik.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
You obviously don't know South Carolina very well. We ARE The Right Wing, and we're either cheering or participating.
I had a chance to see these fly by, my brother who lives 5 minuets from me was able to gab a video. I counted 13 in total.

In the late 60's we used to attack New Jersey, as much as several times a week. The normal mission was to use three C141s with two Combat Controllers in each. We would fly east out of Dover, climb to 29,000, turn back west, drop to under 1000 feet, scare the cows, pop up to 1200 feet, and jump out to set up a drop zone out in the scrub pines. The team from McGuire did the same, often jointly with us.
Once we, and all the other MAC wings, attacked Kansas. The flight had thirty-six C141s and six C130s. I was in the first or second plane. When my parachute opened I was looking down a line of aircraft as far as I could see, all headed right at me. Pretty awesome!

When you saw the photo with all the planes flying is just amazing, beautiful image
December 72' Andeson AB 50 B52s folllowed by 50 B52s, followed by 50 more B52s. Three groups, one mission. Catching the ground show while hopping MAC Flights in and out of Guam. Ground crews pushed a lot of tonnage into those beasts. Will never forget the sights, sound and smells.
Don't tell those nutcases in Texas...
We Texans are watching ya'll over there, could use one of those 17's for a crop duster over here.
My thoughts exactly!
