Prayers to both families and those on ship.
It's always depressing when 2 planes run into each other over a wide expanse of nothing. At least there was a survivor who can shed light on the incident. My prayers are with the family of the mission pilot.
Sad
F/A-18C's. 15's don't go to carriers. Probably should find a news source that knows what they're talking about. Besides, this was a topic that was obviously just posted already.
Obvious typo. Perhaps you're not familiar with Stars & Stripes. Either way it's fixed now.
Are you saying F-18's & F-15's don't launch & hook from carriers ?? If so you might want to rethink.
The hook on a F-15 is only used if the brakes fail on landing on a paved runway. If a F-15 tried to land on a carrier, the ass end would be ripped off upon catching a wire.
F-15's are AF aircraft and have never seen carrier decks. But I'm sure you know this.
Your right. I just wasn't thinking.
