First flying A350 prototype rolls out of assembly line
Airbus has completed primary structural assembly of the first flying prototype A350-900, and transported it to the testing station next to the assembly line in Toulouse. The twinjet, MSN1, has been moved, on its own undercarriage for the first time, from the final assembly line. It has yet to be equipped with its Rolls-Royce Trent XWB powerplants. Funny how the nose section looks a lot like the Boeing 787...
I actually always thought the 787 nose looked (too) much like an Airbus... And i bleed boeing blue.
Funny how Boeing designed and flew the 787 first and then Airbus came out with something that almost looks exactly like the 787.....freaking French copycats! I would never trust an Airbus.
I wonder how well this airplane will do. With increased gas prices, and the current economic position, it may fizzle out. With that said, it may be a great replacement for the A330 or to challenge the 777
IT IS THE COMPUTERS.....THEY DESIGN TO SPECIFICATIONS AND GUESS WHAT, THEY COME UP WITH ALMOST THE SAME OUTCOME WHETHER YOU ARE BOEING OR AIRBUS. JUST LOOK AT ALL THE CARS ON THE ROAD LOOK THE SAME DO THEY NOT?
To my eye, aside from that smoothly sloping nose cone to the cockpit window type look, that's where the similarities to the 787 end. I think the 787 is still nicer looking. The wings of the A350 don't have the same shape as the 787, instead looking more like regular airliner wings. The A350 isn't ugly by any means, and it sure is much prettier than the A380.
The A350 may be bigger than the 787, but what matters is performance. I am curious to see what will come out on top.

Looks nicer than the 787, just my opinion. Can't wait to fly it, hopefully on Air France or United.
