Gun Slips Past Nude Screener Machine in TSA Test
An undercover TSA agent was able to get through security at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport with a handgun during testing of the enhanced-imaging body scanners, according to a high-ranking, inside source at the Transportation Security Administration. The source said the undercover agent carried a pistol in her undergarments when she put the body scanners to the test. How did she make it through the metal detector? Or did she bypass it by saying she had a metal implant (like hip or knee)? I agree about re-writing the headline.
The multi-million dollar technology is not any better than the personnel manning the machine and interpreting the images.
It is suggestive that camouflaging techniques may preclude the finding of some weapons. I suspect that this undercover TSA agent went thru screenings at various times of day and with various screeners manning the backscatter displays.

I agree. The hand held metal detector would have alarmed for the gun I believe... There are still alot of improvements in the works.
what needs to happen is having the tsa personial to go and get retrained and then go thru a controlled screening senerao
Now if all of us law abiding citizens could carry a 9mm aboard.......
