PA-24 crashes on takeoff in Scottsdale, AZ. The police said the flight "crashed shortly after takeoff" and that none of the six people on the small plane survived. (www.cbsnews.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Sorry to hear of this crash. The last I knew, a PA-24 is a four-seater, NOT a six seater. If they had four people in the back seat, or two in the back and (God forbid) two in the luggage area, that plane was a) overloaded; and b) VERY tail heavy. That would explain the trajectory immediately. If that's what happened, shame on the pilot for taking off in this dynamic. He won't do it again.
A 260B or C model can have 6 seats.
Thanks for the heads-up. Although it COULD, should it? I'll mark my calendar to check the NTSB on this one. My guess is that the report will come back "grossly overloaded and out of CG envelope-aft of limits
Maybe you should read the other comments.
The B and C model have 6 seats in the TC.

One of the victims was a young model Mariah Coogan - here is her Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/mariahsunshiinee/?hl=en
Rather inappropriate and disrespectful post. This has what bearing on the cause of the crash? I could have posted social media links to 4 of the victims but is it really necessary?
Thanks! I couldn't agree more.
