The Airbus A380 superjumbo is the next big thing in private jets
The Airbus A380 has officially found a new lease on life as an ultraluxurious private jet. On Monday, Sparfell & Partners announced at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition that it would sell secondhand Airbus superjumbos as head-of-state aircraft. The Geneva-based firm also announced that it would work with London's Winch Design to create the A380 private jet's opulent interior. (finance.yahoo.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Yeah, maybe only to someone like a Saudi King. I don't see a whole lot of 380's becoming private jets.
Does anyone know the operating cost of a A380? Just the base cost like fuel, engines, & maintenance.
$30,000 per hour
Makes a G whiz (650) sound down right frugal at roughly 15% of that figure.
I'd be almost willing to bet that one of the first ones sold will likely be to the rock group Iron Maiden.Logically thinking, it would be their/his next step up in aircraft. Will be interesting to see if he grabs one.
Just imagine the cost of the paint job!!
Just imagine the cost of the paint job!!
All very nice as long as you only want to fly to places with airports that can handle it eliminating many of the favored recreation destinations.
IF people buy them.
