Overturned fuel truck closes part of PHL
6ABC - SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - July 27, 2010 (WPVI) -- A fuel truck spill is causing delays for US Airways flights at Philadelphia International Airport. (abclocal.go.com) Más...I mean that is major airport supposed to have ground fuel system... (sorry for bad English)
It is a major airport, but it's built upon an island, so I don't think it has ground fuel for parts of it.
Glad no one was hurt, since there was no injuries, this is hilarious! Reminds me when I was on the ramp in CHS in 1999, when a guy ripped a hole in 7k truck tank with the ID card reader. Every imaginable emergency vehicle was on scene. Think the guy was fired? No. That summer he over fueled a DL MD-88 and sent about 50 gallons of JETA to the tarmac through the overflow vents. Nice load of kitty litter did the trick. This stuff happens. Have to find the humor in it ( when no injuries occur).
