Great article. The A-10 is old but no plane has wrecked havoc and put more fear in enemies on the ground. I remember hearing those 50's being shot. Pssssssst. ISIS is going to •••• their loincloths when they hear those Warthogs coming.

I'm just wondering why ANG squadrons rather than Active duty, regular Air Force are deployed. Even during Iraq, the 188thTFW, an ANG squadron out of FSM was deployed over there for awhile when they still had the hogs.
To add insult to injury the nose art featuring fish needs to be replaced with pigs and dogs.
