Aviation-Themed Steakhouse Opens Near Chicago
Let's face it, you've done the hundred-dollar hamburger thing more times than you can count. If you're in the Chicago area it's time to check out PM Prime, a new steakhouse that pilots will love for the food and the incredible aviation-themed decor. I was wrong, it's the 94th Aero Squadron, not 95th
Not sure if still there, but on KPWK property there is/was a descent restaurant called 95th Aero squadron right off Milwaukee Ave about 2 blocks North of Palatine Road. You'd enter from Milwaukee Ave, it's set a ways back off the street. Good food and drink at reasonable prices. Great place to also spot planes while enjoying your cocktail
I used to eat there all the time - I even dated one of the hostesses there. (I went to high school with her)
That place was amazing - It had a lot of trouble - I am almost certain it's closed at the moment but I could be wrong.

I researched it, and it is closed. I haven't been near there in ages unless if I'm going to Stieglmeier's Sausage company just North of there or to ABT. LOL
I would guess that the X-Mayor has stock in it !
Check the beef....grown/made in China ??

PDK airport outside of Atlanta has had a really good aviation-themed airport for years called 57th Fighter Group. True, it has closed and reopened several times, but it's open now and is a great restaurant to check out if you're in the area.

Used to be 91st Bomb Group at the end of one of the runways in MEM. Had the Memphis Belle outside. Seems like it was off of Winchester Road. Don't know if it's still there or not. Steak and atmosphere was excellent.
The 91st Bomb Group restaurant must be very long gone. I read an article from someone who said he ate there back in 1984. He joined the Army, and it was closed by time he got back. I've been in the area since 2000 and never heard of it. There was a restaurant like the 94th Aero Squadron that used to be in St. Louis, that was located at Nashville. But, that is gone too, along with St. Louis' and Memphis' restaurants. Last time I was in Miami and Cleveland, their versions were there. And, The Proud Bird in L.A. has gotten a reprieve from closing from the airport authority for a year or two.
Best I remember it sat up at the North End of one of the 18's, Chalet/Castle looking thing
And I guess it's been about 1984 since I was in there
