Plane returns to Logan after smoky smell reported in cockpit
A Delta shuttle flight headed from Boston to New York City returned safely to Logan International Airport after a report of a smoky smell in the cockpit, an airline spokesman said. The pilot of Flight 1379, which was scheduled to fly to LaGuardia Airport at 9:30 a.m., reported a smoky smell shortly after takeoff from Logan, Delta spokesman Carlos Santos said. The story here has updated to 2 different flights returning to Logan both having smoke smells on the flight deck. One wonders if the original a/c was moved to a different flight and the problem continued or if this was indeed two different a/c.
