World's best airlines
Great companies always think outside the box, and Air New Zealand is no exception. In the most recent Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards survey, the Kiwi airline came in No. 2. And while readers didn't specifically rank in-flight entertainment, ANZ's fresh, amusing spin on the standard safety video surely gave passengers a memorable impression of the airline. Air New Zealand ranked so high? Even though they do the cramped 3-4-3 Y seating on a 777 which is designed for 3-3-3? Hard to take this survey seriously.
I agree with you 110%!!!

air airline can have the best food and IFE, but if you are not comfortable in your seat, then well its really a mute point. 1 inch difference in seat width can make or break a 12 hour LAX-AKL flight.
dont you find it odd that all the top airline of the world are almost all asian .no canadian or american even comes close , but i have to agree ,i am canadian and i have flown a bunch of airline ,including singapore airlines and i will tell you , canadian or american cant shine their shoes .its a real shame they cant learn from that .
it's simply because american/canadian airlines have soaring labor costs so they didn't have money to improve service/product. Asian airlines in general hire young flight attendants who are generally better looking and are paid far far less than the seniors on US/CA airlines. Therefore, those guys have had lots of money to spend on new shiny planes and a superb product.
Ever notice that the majority of the "World's Best Airlines" are usually long-haul carriers, flying to and from benign climates with a high percentage of executive and first class seats, and an even larger percentage of tourist passengers?
