Two Muslim religious leaders sue airlines for discrimination
Two Islamic religious leaders from Tennessee filed a lawsuit against two airlines Monday, claiming they were discriminated against and not allowed to fly on a plane in May because of the way they looked. (www.cnn.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Legally I don't know where the pilot stands; besides probably being fired. But I wish the whole plane would have gotten off when given the opportunity.
Would you wakk in a bank with a mask on and not expect the bank manager to react to your being thair? give me a brake, aney one of the passangers who sed thay were not uncomfortable is full of S**T. IT IS THE CAPT.FINAL WORD on who flys. It mite not be P.C. but I dont blame aney one, I WOULD BE UNCOMFORTABLE ALSO. sorry but two Muslims plus a airliner = at the least nerves passangers and we all have seen worse case. 9/11! Thair lack of consideration for the other passangers is what gets me. The pilot did what all the other passangers were wishing thay could do. FLYING IS NOT A RITE...IT IS A PRIVLAGE.you give up some rites when you step in the cabin. That means you to Mr. Baldwin turn off all electronic devices applys to everyone
Btw.A lotta money will make everything ok. Wonder what they will use the money for if they win. Aparantly Muslims like money and the stuff too,,,,,,
wow! What is wrong with people? I don't care if the guy was Chuck Yeager, Neil Armstrong or the Chief pilot of Delta!! He has no right to kick someone off just because of what they are wearing. Further, according to the article, no one else BUT the pilot was uncomfortable with having the two men aboard. Even more, the men were searched numerous times. The pilot needs to get a grip and don't give me that 9/11 bull crap! Millions of Muslims fly all the time without any incident! Correct me if i am wrong, but the last dickhead we read about on here who disrupted a flight, was a rich a-hole white guy!
They do kick people off all the time because if their attire. Some they call indecent, some they just call nasty.
yes, you are right. But we are not talking about a guy coming on board in a mankini! These guys were fully dressed and were not indecent or nasty.
I don't think attire is the issue anyway. Would be interesting to see this play out in court and see just how much lattitude the airlines have as to who they refuse service to. Probably Delta will just give them some money and that will be the end of it. The pilot side would be interesting also. Apparantly he was uncomfortable even if the pax were not.
Yep, i think it will be settled out of court. I would imagine the pilot will be seriously reprimanded though.
