California City Approves Spy Plane to Fly Overhead
Not content to spy on people using street cameras, the small city of Lancaster, Calif. approved a resolution last week that will allow a crime-fighting spy plane to fly overhead and watch what’s going on below. (www.wired.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
This is a waste of tax dollars, a source of pollution, and an invasion of privacy. With boondoggles like this, it's no wonder that California is going down the tubes.
Wonder why the tree huggers haven't filed an injunction to stop this due to all of the polution (especially the lead in the fuel) that the plane will be adding to the already polited SoCal air every day? This is deffinately not going to help their carbon footprint.
Seems to me if they really want to do this that a UAV would be more cost efective in the long run.

It's cheaper to fuel a plane instead of a patrol car?
Yeah compared to the cost of the donut stop!!!
