China Airlines Retires Passenger 747s With Mt. Fuji Farewell
Another one bites the dust. China Airlines has officially retired its fleet of passenger 747s, flying its last flight on March 20, 2021. The jumbo jet was sent off in fine style, performing a flight to nowhere around Mt. Fuji. (www.gatechecked.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
It still is a beautiful plane to watch. I loved the flights with it....
Great post -- thanks to those who made this possible. ( zai jian 747 ) I was lucky enough to make one of the last Concorde flights back in the day on BA.
Memories... bills do need to be paid.... :-(
I just love the Queen of the skies.
the first time I flew in one of them was a northwest airlines from Seattle Washington to the Philippines a beautiful plane
It still amazes me as to how a big craft like the 747 could even land and take off on the runway at St. Maarten.
The 747 is an iconic airplane and I love it. In fact I worked at Boeing when the first 747 took flight. However, I wish that China Air and Asiana Air would stop using the older versions. I assume they are being used as freighters, but they are extremely loud and annoying when taking off. I live over 15 miles away from the airport and they fly over our house at much less than 5,000 feet. I don't know if that's normal, but it is certainly annoying when they disrupt our sleep and regular activities. Is there any way that airlines could limited in their usage of old noisy planes?
