SpiceJet in Talks With Boeing to Buy More 737 MAX Planes at Dubai Air Show
Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet Ltd. is in talks with Boeing Co. to buy more 737 Max aircraft to feed its expansion plans, a deal that could mark a Dubai Airshow coup for the grounded narrow-body. A sales lull for the Max, idled globally since March, allows SpiceJet to acquire planes at a lower cost, Chairman Ajay Singh said in an interview with Bloomberg TV at the biennial event. He said the carrier is looking to set up a new hub in the Middle East and expand to eastern Europe. (www.business-standard.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Just wondering if Boeing is feeling the need to stimulate sales by offering BOGO on the Max?
The deals from Boeing to buy the 737Max must be outstanding right now and mouth watering to bean counter CEO's
So what are they getting to back that plane. No one knows if it will emerge unscathed from this mess, and if there is a future for the franken-jet.
The next crash should end that model PERIOD!

It will totally depend on the cause, if another MAX goes down.
Yes, hopefully there is never another crash.
It is obvious that it is only passengers are scared of the MAX. The orders are still rollin' for Boeing. Clearly slower, but still happening.
But I wonder how much they are promising these carriers, and how much they had to lower the prices, or if there might be 'other pressures' for them to want to buy these. Not that I'm a huge fan of Airbus planes but I'd think a salesperson for Boeing has a lot of 'headwind' trying to make a sale for the MAX... How do they reassure the perspective buyers that Boeing has their backs, and not the shareholders.
I really think, that after all of this kerfuffle, the Max planes will be the safest planes around!
