Grounded Norwegian Air Boeing 787-8 could return to short haul service later this week
Norwegian Air said its grounded Boeing 787 Dreamliner could return to short haul service later this week and is so confident in the aircraft it will probably order more. The airline’s chief executive Bjorn Kjos said the 787 was a better aircraft than advertised but Boeing was unprepared to cope with its teething problems. Other budget airlines will flock to it once the jet’s reliability is improved because it has performed so well the business case for long haul flights is better than expected,… (airguideonline.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Simply amazing what a couple of days and some $ can do to change an attitude
I still believe someone was stealing filters off this machine and they have found the trail and jailed the culprit. A lot of these places like Norway are not blessed with the technicians we have in EUR and USA.
They have first rate techies but most of them go into maritime posts because the pay is three times higher.
The customers love the B787 and so do the techies and crews. As usually it is the MBA set who have no made provison to incorporate the model into the fleet.
Most of them are clueless about what it takes to keep an airliner running. A lot of them cannot tell if a machine is an Airbus or a Boeing.
God help us all.

Norway is not in Europe?
Norway is not in Europe?
Torsten: my error, yes. Specifically it is peripheral Europe. It has excellent defence systems and is a key player in NATO. When it comes to civil aviation they are insular. Unlike the UK Norway does not welcome foreigners so the pool of engineers it has is small. The technicians it does have are very good but are in big demand. One example is avionics. An avionic trained engineer can earn many times more in the maritime industry. The Norweigians are blessed with oil and gas revenues from the N Sea. They are not short of money but they hang on to it very tightly.
Norway is on the 12th floor, your elevator only goes to the 6th.
One thing is for sure. NATO on this side of the pond can protect our sky scrapers. Damn site better than your side of the deal did on 9/11. You are locked and foxed. Sionara.
You are getting confused old man.lol. The filter stealing was on LOT. This was a separate issue
You're sure they're not missing from this one too? Who checked?
HaHa we joke around a little on here Joel. In my personal view I still believe somewhere at some point those filters were stolen. That's just my personal opinion.
So you discount the theory about an airbus mole?
Haha...yup..totally..haha
