Airbus May Open Assembly Line in U.S.
Airbus SAS, whose parent lost out to Boeing Co. (BA) in a U.S. tender to supply refueling aircraft, may add a final assembly line in the U.S. to buoy sales in the world’s No. 1 market for single-aisle planes, an executive said. (www.bloomberg.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Uhh.. they better not.
how dare they consider hiring out of work americans... no way no how, not in my country.
Now that they no longer have a tanker contract here, it will be interesting to see if they set up in a right to work state...such as Kansas where Boeing is looking to shut down their facility or Texas where defense manufacturing has dropped off.
Competition at it's best like it has always been. Now will it seem fair if we go over to France and start an Assembly line there?
If they build here it will be because it is cheaper for the same reason that BMW, Honda, Toyota and Nissan set up factories here. European socialism has been our friend...as long as it is confined to Europe. States here will give tax breaks and other incentives to keep open or reopen American aviation industry, but the opposition will not come from Boeing but from the unions.
Now that I think of it it would also bring more jobs as well what we really need the most.
You said it!
