I was one of the controllers involved with this crash. I spent many miserable hours at the Civil Aeronautics Board hearings in Brooklyn January 1961. Interesting reading at Dept of Transportaion web site. http://ntl1.specialcollection.net/scripts/ws.dll?websearch&site=dot_aircraftacc
I can't get comfortable in airliners. Like the stall/mush into the ocean those things will happen.
I remember this. I was in the ninth grade at the time. I remember watching this on the news.
