A Texas man was arrested for using a boarding pass he photographed off someone else's phone A Texas man was arrested in Salt Lake City on Sunday after he was discovered roaming around on a Delta Air Lines flight without a designated seat to call his own. A plan with 0% chance of success.

Only one passenger can board with the electronic boarding pass -- either the actual passenger gets on the plane first and the scammer can't board, or the scammer gets on board and the actual passenger creates a stink at the gate and an agent goes to investigate, at which point the scammer can't produce a matching ID.

PS: I don't know why this was down-voted, it's an interesting story.

In the above article, the aircraft had already pushed back from the gate, so clearly the gate agent considered it a glitch when the real passenger went to board. Had the aircraft not been completely full, he might have had a chance.
