Canceled Spirit Airlines flights leave Philly International scrambling

At least 10 Spirit Airlines flights to and from Philadelphia International Airport were canceled Monday morning, some at the last minute. According to airline tracking site Flight Aware, those 10 flights account for about 34% of Spirit’s daily operations in Philly. A spokesperson for Spirit Airlines said the cancellations were “proactive” and they are getting back on track from “a series of weather and operational challenges” over the weekend.
