Nok Air De Havilland Dash 8 (400) at Sakon Nakhong on Feb 18th 2018, engine shut down in flight

A Nok Air de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration HS-DQA performing flight DD-9407 from Sakon Nakhong to Bangkok Don Muang (Thailand) with 84 people, was climbing out of Sakon when the crew needed to shut the left hand engine (PW150A) down. The aircraft returned to Sakon for a safe landing on runway 23. Passengers reported there were two streaks of flames coming from the engine prior to the propeller stopping turning.
