Late autopilot disconnect behind Jet Airways B737 tailstrike

Why select dual channel A/P unless you are performing a Cat III autoland either for practice or w/x? The AP always rolls in nose up trim when in dual mode ( I believe) in case of a missed approach, so either Jet Airways needs to do more systems training or more hands on flying.
