After Boeing Deal, Turkish Airlines Weighs Airbus Order - Sources
Turkish Airlines has begun talks with Airbus to buy up to 40 A350 jetliners worth $12.4 billion (£9.15 billion) at list prices, hours after striking a similar deal with its U.S. rival Boeing, people familiar with the airline said on Friday. (www.nytimes.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
I will just take this opportunity to say that Turkish Airlines is phenomenal, and I wish them all the success in the world. I only wish they would add Philadelphia Pennsylvania to their list of American destinations. I travel about two times a year to Turkey and Jordan and I would fly THY every time if they departed from Philadelphia. Instead I usually wind up on Lufthansa or a Delta/Air France hybrid. Both are good airlines but THY is exceptional.
Great they got the Airbus Planes, much more reliable!!!!!
are you saying we need to worry when boarding a Boeing plane ? waoohh ! for sure you're wrong, I will continue to fly preferably on the 787 instead to the A380 and on a 777-300 instead of a 330-300. Now seriously, I think both are reliable, the difference is in technology, rate of return of investment and YES the political need of many companies around the world not to rely on a single providers of planes..
