Their facebook page is saying they cannot confirm a building collapse. [http://www.facebook.com/SunNFunFlyIn/posts/216006801746452]

Bad weather for three days and severe weather warnings make me wonder why the damaged aircraft weren't TIED DOWN! Granted there was not a lot of spare space at the event, but, you'd think that at least the aircraft that were in static displays and those who were just in for the event would have taken precautions.
I am saddend by the losses, and feel them as if they were mine, make no mistake.

AABABY, glad that nobody was seriously hurt, and I agree with you 100%, it is a sad thing, very sad to see planes seriously damaged because they were not properly tied down.

Tie-downs really don't matter in a tornado. Most of the aircraft were tied down, and still went cartwheeling across the grass/mud. AOPA posted some excellent pictures in a [http://www.aopa.org/sunnfun/2011/110331sun-n-fun_closed_violent_storm_destroys_many_aircraft.html slideshow]

chris 13 you don't seem to have seen some warplanes that were abolutely intact; of course they were tied down good.

Holy cow! Unbelieveable...hope everyone who's effected by this is safe and secure whereever they are. Also, if the Space Shuttle is damaged in annnt way shape or form, I'd be asking the people at NASA to seriously consider scrubbing the launch, at least until they can inspect it, and make any of the necessary repairs ASAP. We've all seen what even the slightest bit of damage to those vehicles can cause.

The next day it took me 4 hours to move 3 miles, just to park, because the amount of water created large amounts of mud. Traffic was bad, but show excelent.

The people who restored the Eastern DC-7B tell me that the personnel and aircraft are just fine, no injuries or damages. Thank God, they had spent a lot of efforts and money.

Amazing storms, most people said it was straight line winds vs. a tornado. Having been there with my head down I can tell you it didn't quite matter! Air show folks got things cleaned up pretty good but still the only "dry" ground was at the Cessna display... can you say wood chips!!!
