Weather Cameras Go Operational in Colorado

OKay now this cool. Really nice website and when more cameras get added it will be an invaluable tool, especially in areas with frequent fog and unpredictable weather
I'm sure they have a strict set of standards, but I think it would be neat if they could start leveraging public web cameras that already exist even if only as a secondary source. I was just thinking that the webcam on the Look Rock Fire Tower on the Foothills Parkway in Maryville, Tennessee would be useful for pilots coming into Knoxville.
This system has been up and running in Alaska for a number of years. Living in Kodiak it is the primary way we predict if the weather will keep us from getting home aboard Alaska Airlines out of Anchorage.
My dad was in general aviation for over 60 years, most all of it as a mechanic. He had many stories of those who went out and didn't come back. It's heartening to see initiatives like this being implemented. Lives will be saved.
