The next Air Force One could be red, white and blue
Washington (CNN)The next Air Force One will likely be red, white and blue — but don't expect any eagles painted on the side of the presidential aircraft. An official familiar with the project says President Donald Trump is deeply involved in the conversation about a redesign of the aircraft, but no decisions have been reached. This coming from a guy that bought a used 757 (yes he did a nice job on inside), but the 757 is a old out of date plane and gas guzzling engines etc. He thinks it is best thing in the world...he knows nothing about planes...
What aircraft do you own?

Sweet! Can you share some pics?
Trump Force One - N757AF was purchased by Trump from Paul Allen (co-founder of Microsoft). Paul Allen bought the jet in 1995 when it was just a few years old (built in 1991) so the jet probably has relatively low airtime and a good fit for Trump who probably did not utilize it that much (except during the campaign). This isn't just any old "used jet" - this is a jet that has been pampered most of its 27 year life.
There's also the Citation X and the Sikorsky's.
Maybe pampered, but not fuel efficient at all. Would be ok if engines upgrades were available, but they are not as well
Not the most fuel efficient but the 757 is still in use with major airlines today so can't be all that bad and I doubt Trump cares about the incidental extra cost for fuel.
Understood. I think all but gone form all US airlines, but lots overseas absolutely.
Actually almost exclusively US airlines - take a look at this list, United, Delta, American, Fed-Ex https://flightaware.com/live/aircrafttype/B752
