San Francisco International Airport Prepares for Slots as More Flights Crowd In
It's not your imagination: congestion at San Francisco International Airport is getting worse as waits for gates become more common, airport road traffic slows down, and more passengers and planes than ever crowd in. How can the airport deal with an onslaught like that? Well, after more than a decade of record growth, SFO is preparing for a slot-controlled future which could be implemented in the coming decade. One thing that will never happen is a reliever airport to take the load off. Oh well its CA doing its best to create traffic jams and smog.
What about KSJC?
Or even KOAK?
worked for me. Been to all three getting to Mountain View.
If it weren't for all of the ground stops due to fog, KSJC, and KOAK do perfectly well to relieve the load from KSFO. Hell, there are some who prefer to drive the 90 minutes out to KSCK or KSMF to take a flight because getting in and out of there is tons easier!
