Donald Trump’s Aging Air Fleet Gives His Bid, and His Brand, a Lift
A close look at Mr. Trump’s two airplanes — the 757 and a smaller jet used on the campaign trail — and three helicopters, however, suggests that their value rests chiefly in their marketing potential, with the Trump stamp of status masking the fleet’s age. Ask the airlines who fly the 757 about it's performance and reliability.
I used to fly them here in the US and overseas. Great airplane especially if they were equipped with RR RB-211 engines, lots of excess power there. Nice machine and a pleasure to fly.
I would inquire, If I may, just where exactly are you registered as an ATP?
Where, if I may ask, are you registered as an ATP?
There's also a huge glut of used 57's, the less used ones are being converted to cargo aircraft.
United has retired all 57-200' in domestic config - outside of the 300's on cross country and Hawaii.
The International configured and PS are still flying. Miss them, they blow away the 37-900's

What IS incredible is the power of this man, for better or worse, like him or hate him, to create a buzz. Media across the country can start a topic or write an article and it becomes a lightning rod. This is a crap article and look at us - we can't stop talking about it!
I don't see the "age" point. The two VC-25As (747s) used by the president are over 26 years old.
