AirTran To Begin Requiring Fat Customers To Buy 2nd Ticket
AirTran, headquartered in Orlando, Florida, will begin requiring customers that they deem are too big to fit into one seat to buy another ticket. AirTran was recently bought by Southwest Airlines which had had this policy for the last 30 years. (www.thefloridanewsjournal.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
As a Pilot I am a Pasenger in an Airline and a Pilot in My Cessna Aircraft. I appreciate flying my Cessna to locations that are not served by airlines or Arline Flight that don't match my schedule. For this convenience my cost is greater than an airline ticket, In this case I have better use of my time and my coworkers appreciate it also since in many cases we are home the same day.
This Is a Safety Issue. In the event of an Emergency any passenger with Limited ability may cause panic resulting in delay of passengers to die or be injured as a result. Safety of Flight is a Priority of: FAA, The Airline and the Airline Crew. The Wider Seats are in First Class and in some Busines Class may be considered in this case.
It's all real simple; bigger seats equal higher fares. Most people I know opt for the cheaper fares. SWA has always been the no frills airline and usually prospered when others languished. Want plenty of room? Buy a 757 like Trump.
Just remember folk...any way to get money. Keep that in mind as FedEx pilot said this is very rude and disrespectful for people that are overweight and "fat".
GOOD GOOD GOOD!!! EAT HEALTHY, EXERCISE, LOSE WEIGHT!!! NO NEED TO BE SENSITIVE HERE, IT'S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. I'M JUST BEING BLUNT AND TO THE POINT.
Good!
