I'm curious about his injuries, as the aircraft seems to be relatively intact.
David is right. There have been too many crashes recently. Many of these crashed have been in open country with no apparent obstacles. I am going to propose a session in forced landings at our pilot group.
That doesn't sound like a bad idea Louis. It always worries me that there seem to be so many pilots that put in a forced landing situation will try to stretch it and wind up auguring it in. I would much prefer circling to a safe, secure off-airport landing miles from the airport to crashing 2000 feet from the runway.
