The rapid growth of Amazon's air-cargo empire, coupled with low pay, has led to inexperienced pilots in the cockpit, veteran pilots said, adding that it could lead to safety problems. TBM700 plane crashes on NJ highway; 5 dead

A small plane has crashed on the busy Interstate 287 in Harding, located in northern New Jersey. State Police Trooper Christopher Kay says there is a report of three possible deaths in the crash. Shona Sternberg of Hillsborough tells The Star-Ledger of Newark that she was about three cars behind where the plane went down and saw an explosion when the aircraft hit. According to the complaint filed in Federal Court, Nancy Genovese, a mother of three, was driving home on County Road 31 past Gabreski Airport in Suffolk County. Gabreski Airport displays a decorative helicopter shell by the roadway to the public, which is visible to all who pass by.
