I miss Sentimental Journey. I was a member of the Arizona Wing of the CAF in the 1980s when I lived in Peoria, AZ, and crewed SJ on many an airshow flight. She's a wonderful old gal.
Ruined a bunch of t-shirts walking under her dripping radials, but it was worth it. Busted my knuckles changing a generator on #2. Helped string some authentic HF radio antennas from the vertical stabilizer along the fuselage.
Worked some aeronautical mobile 2 meter amateur radio contacts on a flight through California in 1986.
Wonderful memories.
