Incorrect. F-111C. Royal Australian Air Force A8-125 was the last to land therefore becoming the world's last flying F-111.
Patricio Bravo
That's correct Shanecouch, RAAF F-111C serial A8-125, arrive in Australia on 1 Jun 1973, after retirement was preserved and delivered to the RAAF Museum, Point Cook, Victoria
Chris C Kinsley
Beautiful pic. One all time fave looker!!
Alan Hume
Wonderful aircraft for the RAAF that never fired a shot in anger. Replaced by the Super Hornet which has proved its equal, if not bested it. Most of the retired fleet has been buried in the desert in an undisclosed location ... so sad!
Michael Wulfsohn
The swing-wing Aardvark is one of my all time favorite military aircraft. Retired or not, it is one of the best looking badass birds ever.
Mark Hanneman
I always admired the Aussie F-111C paint schemes
Peter Fottler
Many years ago I worked on the F111 systems
Alan Schaffter
If it was an EF-111 it would have had the characteristic "football" on top of the tail that contained the receivers which were part of the ALQ-99 ECM system it shared with the US Navy EA-6B Prowler.
Jester
Worked on the A model at Mtn. Home AFB, Id. Miss those days.

agree; the Raven was an ECM a/c and had the equipment atop the vertical stabilizer -- plain as day

McNamara's Folly.
Michael Alston
Loved our Pigs, the Super Hornet is a wonderful aircraft, and I'm sure our crews love flying it but in some respects we still haven't replaced capabilities that F-111's provided. Notice the AGM-142 Popeye stand-off missile under port wing?
