A splendid Capture !!
Dramatic!
holy wow! awesome
My uncle flew 50 missions from Italy in these. If you parked a B-17 between 50 modern jets, the 17 just might draw the biggest crowd. What a tough old workhorse.
WoW!!! Very unusual! AND very nice! Great job!!!
Great, and very unusual, shot...good job!
My father-in-law was shot down in Italy in a B-17 on his very first mission...a 21 year old 2nd Lt copilot. Obviously, he survived. The B-17 is my all time favorite WW2 aircraft.

Wonderful photo to see such a fine lady.
EXCELLENT!
That's such a badass photo! Looks menacing, like an alien spaceship. 5*
Nice.
An older co-worker of mine in the '80's told he was a waist gunner in WWII Italy. He said he took 3 flack jackets with him, he wore one, tied one around his waist to protect his crown jewels, and stood on the other. He had amazing photos.

Reminds me of the movie "The Best Years Of Our Lives," with Dana Andrews' character being the bombardier (Fred Derry) in this type of bomber. If you haven't seen the movie yet, you should! Many consider it the best movie ever made.
What a great night shot!
fANTASTIC pHOTOGRAPH
Never realized the outer engines stepped back from the inners.
Night bus city limmits.......
