NASA Langley Research Center converts Boeing 777 into flying research lab
The Boeing 777 sitting in NASA Langley Research Center’s hangar isn't any ordinary plane. It's being converted into a science lab for researchers to better understand our atmosphere and oceans. Just as I finished reading about the retirement of the NASA DC-8, the local news station aired a story about the new plane. It sounds as if they have some good plans for the new plane with the first mission scheduled for 2026.
