how much did the chinese learn about airliner construction when they were doing final assembly on 737?
Unless they can sell these outside of the Communist "friendly" countries (read Russia, North Korea, Iran), then it's doubtful. It's likely made with technology borrowed (stolen) from Western manufacturers.
I cannot see either the FAA or EASA approving this. I highly doubt that China would be willing to open up it's supply chain/manufacturing processes to external inspection. And, as bad as the FAA can be at times, I definitely don't see them allowing "self certification".
