Article says there are now twelve (12) pilots for each airplane operated by publicly traded airline companies. The highest pilot to aircraft ratio in a decade.
Right. So they don’t need to hire as much now.
The amount of pilots All ages losing their medical permanently. Is still a problem. Nobody talks about. The real reason for the pilot shortage.
This is the strategy of most unions ... accept the "large pay raise" from the members, then cut heads to actually afford to pay for it! It's far better to pay for a few of the best, than the mediocre of the rest!
