6 WestJet passengers injured after their flight was diverted to Winnipeg
Six passengers were injured after a WestJet flight from Edmonton to Toronto was diverted to Winnipeg on Monday night due to an unspecified threat. The airline says the passengers from Flight 442 were injured during the emergency evacuation from the aircraft, which landed at Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson Airport at 8:40 pm CT Monday. Looks like the threat was a phone call claiming a bomb was on board.
I'm still wondering what the procedure is for someone who can't use the slides.
Was at the airport spotting when the flight arrived. They all were injured going down the emergency slides. All small stuff and most, if not all, should be out already.
I was on twitter instantly about this and think I was the first to report it. Get no credit lol.
Huge credit to the pilots who landed the plane downwind VERY well.

Jeremy, did you find out anything about the type of threat?
can you give somemore info as to how they got injured?
They were injured when they used the emergency evacuation slides, probably nothing serious. A few had to go to the hospital none the less.
What intrigues me is the fact that nothing is mentioned about the threat. Really mysterious.

Think about it for a moment. Do we really want to publish exactly what kinds of threats get a flight diverted?
