Boeing 747 keeps rolling, 50 years after first flight
People said it would never fly. Too expensive, too ambitious, too big. Boeing proved them all wrong. (www.flightglobal.com) More...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
If only Joe Suttor was still alive... A few more years and he could have seen the demise of the only competitor to his 'baby'...
Not only did they prove them wrong they brought the future to the past and changed aviation and the way we fly with the 747. This plane is like the dc-3. It brought us a good plane with a excellent safety record that is a privilege to fly and a dream to handle. She’s amazing every mile she flies and she will always be here in our hearts and in our minds and hopefully in 50 more years still in the skies.
The air freighters will keep them flying for years to come hopefully!
totally agree with you. it is too bad airlines aren't buying them anymore! :(
