Aero Republica launches new brand, becomes Copa Airlines Colombia

A tough competitor is about to start operating in Colombia "Lan Airlines" they will start off with 3 Airplanes A320s, with the Avianca-TACA group, COPA and now LAN, blood it's gonna run on Colombian soil.

Lan Chile owns besides their own country air traffic passenger and cargo, domestic and international, 95% of Peru, 35-40% of Ecuador and 85% of Argentina. Soon there will be only three significant airlines in South America: Lan-Tam, Avianca-Taca, and Copa, plus a few small ones in Brazil and some luosy ones everywhere else. Too bad for airfares are going to climg like an jet airplane.

it can only be good for service, avianca's monopoly is over... :)
