Airbus has its own airline—sort of…
Commercial aircraft giant Airbus has come up with a way to mature its aircraft faster. The French manufacturer has created its own simulated airline to replicate the way the world's commercial carriers use and look after their airplanes. Dubbed AIRLINE1, the concept was introduced in 2013 to speed development of Airbus' new A350 XWB (a Boeing 787/777 competitor) by reducing the technical issues that typically surface after new airliners enter service. united may be boeing's lab rat, of sorts, but it isn't a monogamous lab rat. They do fly many airbussers, and are buying more airbussers.
With such high development costs, Manufacturers must do everything to satisfy
new or potential airline customers. Reliability is important to new fleet introductions.
I am sure BOEING will respond accordingly.

Oh, I see. Ground-truthing how an aircraft is used as opposed to just reading their own press releases. What a novel concept.
Wow not, just another Airbust ad.
Oh, grow up.
Parhaps Airbus restored to this measure when they had to face several months of never ending bugs, not big or dangeruus ones but really bothersome ones with the new 350. An ATP with a major Middle East airline told me that in the first few monhts the lighting could not be turned off even in the middle of a sunny day or at night after serving dinner and the passengers got really angry. It was due to some electronic issues, disconnecting circuit breakers did not do it and finally the tech reps fixed that.
