Air France takes pilots to court to force through reforms
Air France is launching legal action against its own pilots after failing to make a breakthrough in restructuring talks to halt its falling revenues. It comes a day after the airline announced cuts of some 80-million euros and the closure of several loss-making lines. But union leaders have described the move as irresponsible. I can see it now: Surcharges on tix for "pilot services" like the airlines nickel and dime for everything else.
Probably more like "would you like a glass of wine?" Before you get served she asks "are you with us or against us" dangling the glass in front of the befuddled passenger.
